Over 100 supporters of Peggy O'Hara took part in a whiteline picket on Saturday to both help promote Peggy's election campaign and to protest against the endorsement of the RUC/PSNI.
Many of those who too part were people under the age of twenty who are flocking to help in Peggy's election campaign. This aspect has been the most pleasing so far for the election team.
Members of the various bodies supporting Peggy including the 32CSM, IRSP, RSYM and the Ex-Prisoners & Concerned Republicans Against the RUC/PSNI also took part and various banners and posters were on display.
Leaflets, which included a personal message from Peggy O'Hara, were handed out on both sides of Shipquay Street and these recieved a particularly favourable response from passers-by.
